Wanderlust: Rebirth

I stumbled across this game recently, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it! This is a top-down RPG where you can be either male or female and have four classes to choose from. My favourite class is the mage class, because I just like setting things on fire or freezing them (what can I say, it's an advantage if your enemy can't move!)




The plot

There is a main story arc, which is very similar to that of Fable, but it works very differently. Without spoiling too much of this game, I'll just say that it seems to very much be your typical RPG.

Actual gameplay

Your main role is that of fighting off baddies, a role that is made relatively easy by the game's simple control system. To fight, you click. If you have 2 spells, they're assigned to either left- or right-click on your mouse. Movement is controlled by the W-A-S and D keys and the spacebar is your "action" button.

Multiplayer

In the game, you play as a member of a party of four. If you're playing single-player, these are controlled by AI but there is the option to actually play with friends, which is a really nice touch.

Overall thoughts

Although this is a very simple game in terms of the way it plays, it's quite fun and its multiplayer aspect certainly adds a new level to the game.
